25 representatives from Bentek Corporation, Garmin, Johnson & Johnson, Lam Research Corporation, and Medtronic Inc. took part in a 3-day interactive workshop learning the tools and implementation framework of Demand Driven Flow Technology (DDFT) so that they can create and manage Demand Driven manufacturing within their respective organizations. In addition to learning the tools of DDFT, the attendees successfully designed a new Demand Driven facility during their final case study activity.
Special thanks go out to Garmin AT for hosting this latest DDFT workshop and to the site management team who provided a stimulating and detailed tour of their manufacturing facility demonstrating how to successfully implement and operate DDFT. Garmin believes that to survive as a manufacturing company in the US today, companies must adapt and become Demand Driven. DDFT provides Garmin with the tools and methodology to do so.
